About

Currently, I am a PhD researcher at TU Delft. My general research interests are Physics-based machine learning and numerical analysis. My research at TU Delft is part of the Marie-Curie project ‘LIGHTEN - Ultralight membrane structures towards a sustainable environment’. I am focusing on topology optimization of membrane structures. The goal is to accelerate the search for the optimized structure with machine learning techniques.

Before doing the PhD, I did my master in Computational Mechanics and then started my career as a CAE software engineer after graduation. In the last few years I fell in love with the world of Artificial Intelligence (specifically Machine Learning). This led me to decide, at some point, to do a PhD which combines Machine Learning and Computational Mechanics. The long journey has started. I would love to see how AI will change the traditional mechanical industry.
